A mining equipment supplier rebuilds worn excavator parts. It had a long-range scanner and an arm scanner, but no way to combine their data. We built the workflow across Geomagic Wrap, Design X and Control X, and trained its team to run it.
The supplier takes on big rework projects, such as rebuilding excavators when their buckets and liners wear out. Each job means scanning the worn part, making a new one and fitting it back to the machine as it is now.
They captured the large shapes with a long-range scanner and the details with an arm scanner, but had no process to merge the two datasets or plan the rework from the result.

Registering the long-range and arm scans into one accurate model in Geomagic Wrap.
Processing the merged scan into a clean mesh, ready for modelling.
Building the CAD geometry needed to make the replacement part.
Deviation inspection to show exactly what needed rebuilding, and by how much.
The supplier now has one pipeline from field capture to a documented plan for every worn part it services.
