HoloCubtile

Ultimate in 3D visualization and interaction

The HoloCubtile is immersive 3D navigation device which uses mirrors to blend the visualization and interaction of 3D Objects. The HoloCubtile allows users to not only rotate the 3D image, but view it on the provided mirror. The projected 3D image can then be rotated and manipulated in size, in order to match each user's viewing preference. The device provides the illusion of the object actually appearing in the users hands!

Visualize 3D to the next level

The HoloCubtile is an augmented reality device that makes use of a mirror to blend the visualization and interaction spaces. The three-dimensional object really appears in the reected user’s hands, increasing the illusion to handle real 3D content.  The 3D content  can be visualized by several people at a time without the need of additional hardware.

The HoloCubtile: when Augmented Reality enriches the Cubtile

Commercialized since the end of 2009, the Cubtile already takes a large step towards Augmented Reality with a major update that naturally took the name HoloCubtile. Revealed last December at Siggraph Asia 2009 (famous annual conference on computer graphics and interactive techniques), the HoloCubtile was selected to be part of the Emerging Technologies demos.
